ABOUT UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE
Launched in August 2003, University Challenge is BBC World's spectacular quiz show featuring the best teams from India's top Universities and Colleges. After 16 grilling preliminary rounds followed by rigorous at the quarter-final level, the four best teams that triumphed will compete in
the semi-finals starting 19th February 2004. Watch the battle of wits on BBC World every Thursday at 10pm with additional appointment to view on Sundays at 10am.
Predict the winning team: The four teams that have made it to the semi-finals are - Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, NITK, Suratkal and MDI, Gurgaon. Here is your chance to predict
who will win the prestigious University Challenge trophy.
These teams will battle it out to reach the India Final to be telecast on March 4, 2003 and the team that emerges the winner shall compete against the UK University Challenge finalists in the Grand Finals on March 11, 2004.
Based on UK's popular TV quiz show running successfully for 40 years, University Challenge is one of the longest running quiz shows in the world. Set against a high-tech backdrop, this compelling series engages young and old
viewers alike. Hosted by India's favourite quizmaster Siddhartha Basu, the programme is sponsored by Samsung Sound and Life Insurance Corporation of India.
University Challenge will cover the gamut of sports, theatre, technology, industries, film, music, dance, science and medicine, television, advertising, art and literature, destinations, cuisine and many other areas.
